شنت باكستان، اليوم (الخميس)، ضربات جوية استهدفت 10 مواقع في أفغانستان، قالت إنها كانت تُستخدم لتخزين الطائرات المسيّرة وإطلاقها باتجاه الأراضي الباكستانية، وسط تصعيد متجدد بين البلدين.

وقال وزير الإعلام الباكستاني عطا الله تارار، عبر منصة «إكس»، إن الضربات كانت «متناسبة ومحددة الهدف بشكل صارم» واستهدفت مواقع عسكرية مرتبطة بمحاولات شن هجمات من أفغانستان.

وأوضح أن أنظمة الدفاع الجوي الباكستانية رصدت، أمس (الأربعاء)، طائرات مسيّرة أُطلقت من الأراضي الأفغانية، وتمكنت من تحييدها قبل وصولها إلى أهدافها، مؤكداً إحباط الهجوم بالكامل.

وتوعد تارار أي طرف ينتهك سيادة بلاده بـ«رد فوري وحاسم»، مؤكداً أن الأراضي الأفغانية يجب ألا تُستخدم لشن هجمات أو تنفيذ عمليات عدائية ضد باكستان.

وطالب الوزير حكومة طالبان بالوقف الفوري لجميع الأنشطة العدائية ضد بلاده، والوفاء بالتزاماتها الدولية عبر اتخاذ إجراءات «فعالة وملموسة وقابلة للتحقق ومستدامة» ضد الكيانات الإرهابية العاملة انطلاقاً من الأراضي الأفغانية.

في المقابل، نفى مسؤولون في طالبان أن تكون القوات الأفغانية قد أطلقت طائرات مسيّرة باتجاه باكستان، أمس (الأربعاء)، فيما أفادت بأن الغارات الجوية الباكستانية استهدفت مناطق عدة في إقليمي خوست وبكتيا جنوبي أفغانستان، دون تسجيل إصابات، بحسب تصريحاتها.

وقال شاهد عيان إنه سمع صوت طائرة نفاثة، أعقبه دوي انفجار قوي واندلاع حريق وسط المدينة.

ويأتي التصعيد رغم اتفاق لوقف إطلاق النار أُبرم في مارس الماضي، لم ينجح في التوصل إلى تسوية دائمة بين الجارتين، رغم جهود وساطة قادتها عدة دول.

Pakistan launched airstrikes today (Thursday) targeting 10 sites in Afghanistan, which it said were being used to store and launch drones towards Pakistani territory, amid renewed escalation between the two countries.

Pakistani Information Minister Attaullah Tarar stated via the "X" platform that the strikes were "proportionate and strictly targeted" at military sites linked to attempts to launch attacks from Afghanistan.

He explained that Pakistani air defense systems detected drones launched from Afghan territory yesterday (Wednesday) and were able to neutralize them before they reached their targets, confirming that the attack was fully thwarted.

Tarar vowed that any party violating his country's sovereignty would face a "swift and decisive response," asserting that Afghan territory should not be used to launch attacks or carry out hostile operations against Pakistan.

The minister called on the Taliban government to immediately cease all hostile activities against his country and to fulfill its international obligations by taking "effective, tangible, verifiable, and sustainable" actions against terrorist entities operating from Afghan territory.

In contrast, Taliban officials denied that Afghan forces had launched drones towards Pakistan yesterday (Wednesday), while stating that the Pakistani airstrikes targeted several areas in the Khost and Paktia provinces in southern Afghanistan, with no casualties reported, according to their statements.

An eyewitness reported hearing the sound of a jet, followed by a loud explosion and a fire breaking out in the middle of the city.

The escalation comes despite a ceasefire agreement reached last March, which has not succeeded in achieving a lasting settlement between the two neighbors, despite mediation efforts led by several countries.
